Put on the new Man
Ephesians 4: 18,22-24

18 having darkened understanding, estranged from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart;

22 As for the old way of life, put off the old man, which is corrupted according to deceitful desires,
23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
24 and put on the new man, created according to God in the justice and holiness of truth.

In this lesson we are going to look at the fifth cause because divorce has entered the church.

The fifth cause because divorce is hitting the church is because the man (woman) is still dressed as the old man, he has not been renewed with the vestment of the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
When a person accepts Jesus as his savior, he comes dressed in carnal clothes contaminated with sin, but when he comes to Jesus and is baptized in water and by the Holy Spirit, his clothing is new, he has passed from death to life, in him there has been a Resurrection with Christ.

It is through the daily search for obedience and purity that we are clothed in the new man.

What happens when a Christian mistreats his wife? Why physical violence in a Christian relationship? Why infidelity in a Christian relationship?

These and many more questions are asked when these things are manifested in a Christian relationship and many do not find answers that convince them.

Here are some answers to those questions:
1. Absence of the presence of Christ.
2. There has been no real regret.
3. You go to church but you don't have Christ.
4. The gospel of Christ has not dawned on him.
5. Is a religious professes a faith, but not Christ Jesus.
6. Follow a faith that has been inherited but has no revelation of who Jesus is in your life.
7. He is still connected to the world, he is a lover of worldly pleasures.

The list would be bigger than him because the man is still dressed in old garments giving bad testimony of the transforming gospel of Christ through the word (Bible).

When man is determined not to change, then he will not have any positive change. He will continue to be harsh deceiving himself and his loved ones, carrying a Bible and sitting in a church chair without bearing fruit of repentance.

8 Herein is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so are you my disciples. John 15:8

The Christian must dress the new man day by day, just as in the natural we dress each day in different clothes, so spiritually a renewed clothing is.

How do I renew myself? R / Romans 12: 1-2

1. Therefore, brothers, I beg you by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your rational worship.
2 Do not be conformed to this age, but transform yourselves through the renewal of your understanding, so that you may see what the good will of God is, pleasing and perfect.

Trans- Change, Formaos- Change of Form: a new lifestyle
Renewal of your understanding: our way of thinking must be renewed

And this is achieved through the instruction of the word of God, in Christ man and woman act and think differently. pride, appearance, selfishness, hardness of heart, lies, falsehood, infidelity, abuse. etc…
All that leaves the life of the believer to be clothed, transformed and renewed of the new man in Jesus Christ.

Bad habits left his life, he acquired good habits for the benefit of his marriage, family and environment.

The Work of Christ through the Holy Spirit is perfect, made outside of your marriage and family, the word called divorce, the body of Christ cannot be mutilated by satanas, if your relationship can be restored, try not to lose it, consult with a counselor filled with the Holy Spirit of God.

Matthew 18: 21-22
21 Then Peter came to him and said, "Lord, how many times will I forgive my brother who sins against me?" Up to seven?
22 Jesus said to him: I do not tell you up to seven, but even up to seventy times seven.
Matthew 18: 21-22

Success is in forgiving, that is what Jesus taught us to forgive our brother or aggressor, forgiving is the essence of love and repentance is the essence of accepting my mistake and wanting to be a new man in Christ Jesus.
