The enemy of appearance
1 Samuel 16: 7
And the Lord said to Samuel: Do not look at his appearance, or at the greatness of his stature, for I will reject him; for Jehovah does not look at what man looks at; for man looks at what is before his eyes, but the Lord looks at the heart.
In this lesson we are going to look at the third cause because Divorce has entered the church.
Appearance: external appearance of a person, animal or thing.
Appearance and routine have become one of the great enemies of marriage and family.
The Prophet Samuel is going to anoint the new king of Israel and 7 sons of Isai 1 are presented to him. Samuel 16: 10-11
10 And Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel; But Samuel said to Jesse, The Lord has not chosen these.
11 Then Samuel said to Jesse, "Are these all your sons?" And he answered: There is still the youngest, who is feeding the sheep. And Samuel said to Jesse: Send for him, because we will not sit at table until he comes here.
