Ephesians 2: 1
¨ And gave life to you, when you were dead in your crimes and sins ¨
Introduction: when someone survives makes a slight transition between life and death, it is often heard, I have been born again.
Survive: Stay alive after a particularly dangerous event or moment.
There are those who survive an accident, tornado, earthquake, hurricane, Cancer, heart attack, beating. etc….
Surviving in Christ. John 15: 4
This chapter of Ephesians reveals to us the sphere of death from which the church was taken, the church is a survivor of sin, we are transitioned from earthly humanity to heavenly humanity.
What is better to live or survive?
Live: the one who lives, lives the disorderly life, lives the crazy life, without law.
Survive: whoever has survived something lives life with caution knows how to live
The word "death" refers to the condition of our spirit which invaded our entire being and made us lose the purpose for which we lose connection with God.
To survive in this world of bad offers we have to be in Christ connected to Him. Staying in Him is the key to survival.
By disconnecting from it, it is the step to live in disorder.
Thessalonians 3: 8 ¨ For now we live, if you are firm in the Lord ¨
Romans 1:17 ¨ Because in the gospel the justice of God is revealed by faith and for faith, as it is written: But the just shall live by faith ¨
Faith is another of our tools to survive in such an adverse world of bad news or difficult situations.
2. Surviving with the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:10 -13
¨ because if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the flesh, you will live ¨
To survive we need to have the E.S. He is the one that guides us towards all truth of God in us, the E.S. that helps us and strengthens us before such proposals, Romans 6:11 affirms him dead to sin.
And one of the sins that makes us live a crazy life is what it tells us: Romans 14: 7-10, we must survive this serious evil
He will judge others, live and let live, the rest will be judged by the Lord.
Titus 2: 11-12 impiety is the absence of the expression of God, the desires of the world are the expression of our flesh, there is the need to survive those offers of the world and my flesh, we are called to express to God in our way of living.
3. Surviving with the word. John 5:24
We are going to survive hearing and believing the word, every day we see and hear things that can kill our faith, but the Word says: what we have passed from death to life.
The source of death is the tree of knowledge, but the source of life is the tree of life. Therefore, to pass from death to life is to change the source by which one lives, many knowledge has produced death, but revelation has taught others to survive in victory.
Matthew 7: 13-14 YOU MUST SURVIVE entering through the narrow door, the narrow door includes the internal conduct of the Christian not the exterior, he corresponds to God is everyone who survives this world.
I am not saying that the exterior should not produce changes, we are called to produce changes in all areas
Galatians 2:20 the expression ¨ I no longer live ¨ is that the old I died, and the new I, Christ in us the new life and way of being, he lives in us through his resurrection, that is why we are the body of Christ for which it is needed.
Colossians 3: 3-4 in our daily life we must experience Christ to others, with our life a visible and palpable Christ is shown, remember to survive is to deny ourselves the world of sin where we were rescued.
It is the word that gives me advice and instruction and the one that teaches me to guide my steps that shows me its promises in this life and for eternal life. Psalm 27: 5
